Ok, this is the final meta-book and blogging post for the foreseeable future. Next week I’ll be back to reviews and other bookish stuff, promise. But my first post for 2010 was a review of my 2009 goals and setting my goals for 2010, and it seems like a good way to start 2011.
Looking back, I like the way that post was formatted, so I’m going to mimic it for this year.

Since it’s the end of June, now seemed the perfect time to look back at the first half of 2010 and see how my reading is going. The picture above is a Wordle I made for the blog so far, and I love it. I’m glad “books” and “just think” are so big.
But on to the books — so far this year I’ve read 45 books. By this time last year, I’d only read 34 books. Good progress! I made a few tables that breakdown books by a few stats, mostly for my own amusement.
Apologies for double posting today, but I wanted to put up my Bloggiesta wrap up post before I forget.
I had 21 blog projects on my to-do list, and managed to complete 13 of them. Pretty good, considering I really only got to work for a bit Friday night and a few hours Saturday night because of family stuff all weekend.
If this post goes up as scheduled, I’ll be in my car and on my way back to Minnesota for my brother’s high school graduation. This also means getting blogging projects done will be frustratingly unlikely because I’m not sure how much blogging time I’ll have the next couple of days. But, I have bloggy things to do and like to make lists of them. When I have the time, here’s what I hope to accomplish during the Bloggiesta.
I got a lot chuckles during the Book Blogger Convention whenever I told people the name of my blog, and for good reason I suppose — it’s a little funny (at least, I like to think so).
But then I always get the inevitable, “What does that mean?” which is a legit question. So this is the beginning of a not-very-regular series of things that are “sophisticated dorkiness.”
Hello to everyone stopping by from BEA and the Book Blogger Convention! This post is just a quick introduction of myself if we didn’t get to chat long when we met. If you scroll down to the bottom of this post, you can read my plans for BEA and how to contact me.
Today marks my two year anniversary blogging! How awesome is that? In honor of this auspicious occasion, I’m excited to brag just a little bit about some of my biggest blog accomplishments over the last year, plus share some exciting upcoming life changes. Then, a big thank you… read on!
A few weeks ago I eavesdropped on a Twitter conversation between Nymeth (@Nymeth) and Aarti (@aartichapati) where both were concerned about how they’d fit blogging into their schedules after they start grad school in the fall.
I started my blog just after I graduated from college and immediately started grad school in the fall, so in the almost two years I’ve been blogging I’ve been a student pretty much the whole time. Here are a few tips about how to make it work.
I saw this meme going around awhile ago where bloggers would list where their last 20 books came from. I just read my 20th book for the year, so I figured it was about time to check out those stats for 2010. Curious?
So this week is midterms and things are a little crazier than I anticipated. I need the week off from the blog to get school done and get my brain back. I’ll see you all on the other side of my projects!
P.S. If you get a chance, leave any questions you have about Honeymoon in Tehran by Azadeh Moaveni and I’ll answer them in my review when I get back from my self-imposed bloggy break.
