Bloggiesta: The Wrap-Up Post

Bloggiesta: The Wrap-Up Post post image

Apologies for double posting today, but I wanted to put up my Bloggiesta wrap up post before I forget.

I had 21 blog projects on my to-do list, and managed to complete 13 of them. Pretty good, considering I really only got to work for a bit Friday night and a few hours Saturday night because of family stuff all weekend.

I did not do a great job keeping track of stats, so here are some guesses:

  • Hours Spent Bloggiesting: 6, I think.
  • Mini-Challenges Participated In: Review Policy, and Goal Setting (although I did this informally)
  • Comments Left: 30?

My favorite part was actually getting to co-host a mini-challenge at the Blog Improvement Project, mostly because I feel like I’ve been neglecting it a bit lately and it was nice to get some excitement going for me and for participants.

That’s all I’ve got! Again, apologies for the double post today.

Did you Bloggiesta this weekend? How did it go? If not, what are some of your upcoming bloggy plans?

You got quite a bit done, so you should definitely be proud. Bloggiesta makes me double post too. 🙂

Trisha: Double posting happens occasionally, although I try to keep it to a minimum when I can. I think I got a lot done given how little time I ended up making for Bloggiesta.

Wow, you got a lot done! And the blog is looking great, I really like the way it looks. Pretty pretty! I didn’t get nearly enough commenting done either. 🙁

Heather: Thank you! I want to do some blog design adjusting, but it can turn into such a time suck I keep avoiding it 🙂

  • Andi June 14, 2010, 2:08 pm

Great job! That’s a ton accomplished in a small amount of time.

    • Kim June 15, 2010, 8:48 pm

Andi: Thanks! I think it’s a pretty good list of finished projects.

      SenoraG: Thank you! How nice!

You did great over Bloggiesta, especially for leaving that many comments. Wasn’t it fun? I really enjoyed it and will plan on participating from here on out. It’s a nice change of pace to have one aspect of blogging to focus on for the weekend.

    • Kim June 15, 2010, 8:50 pm

Literate Housewife: Part of how I try to respond to comments in my blog is to go back to the other blog and leave a comment too, so most of the ones I left weren’t necessarily Bloggiesta participants, just people as part of my regular commenting routine. But it ended up being a good number over the course of a couple days.

I try to visit everyone who comments on my blog-it is a great way to discovery new blogs and make friends-too bad we are 1/2 a country away from each other-we could enjoy croissants and read books together.

    • Kim June 17, 2010, 7:09 pm

Esme: I like being able to visit bloggers after they comment. I don’t always do it, but I try! It is too bad we’re apart — we’ll just have to read and eat virtually for now and save a morning in NYC next year.

Pretty good INDEED! You got lots done in a relatively short amount of time, and a satisfied feeling to go with it. What else is their to wish for?!

I didn’t participate in any mini-challenges (needed to focusssss) but I’m a BIP participant and love the work you’re putting into it! Meant to say THANKS for the april gift card :))

  • Kim June 20, 2010, 9:45 am

Gnoe: Very true — we should all be happy with what we were able to get done and feel satisfied about it 🙂

And thanks for participating in the BIP! I feel like it’s been a little less focused this year, so I’m glad to hear people are getting something out of it.
