Last year and I read and loved Waiting For Columbus by Thomas Trofimuk. About a month ago, the author contacted me and offered to send a signed copy that I could give away here on the blog.
That’s right, I get to have a contest for a hardcover, signed copy of Waiting For Columbus! How exciting is that?
I’m actually quite jealous, since I checked the book out from the library and so I don’t even have a copy myself (that’s a fact I plan to remedy soon).
This giveaway is sort of open internationally. I can’t afford to ship the book outside North America, but if an international person is chosen as the first winner, I’ll give them a $10 Amazon gift certificate instead, then draw another winner for the book. If the first winner is in North America, then I’ll just send the book to them (with no Amazon gift certificate).
You can enter this giveaway three ways, and have up to three total entries:
- Leave a comment on this entry (and be sure to include an e-mail address so I can contact you if you win!).
- Blog about the giveaway and leave a link to your blog post.
- Tweet about the giveaway and leave a link to your tweet (you can get a link to an individual tweet by clicking on the date/time underneath an individual tweet then copying the URL of that webpage).
This giveaway will be open until Friday, February 19 at midnight CST. After that, I’ll announce the winner here on the blog and contact them via e-mail.
Good luck, and spread the word!

I would love a copy to preview for a possible book club selection.
How do you get an author to donate a copy?
I have recently started a blog which includes a “bookshelf” category. I would love to be able to have donated books!
