If you haven’t seen it already, I just read this post sharing that Dewey (The Hidden Side of a Leaf) passed away last week. I’m not really sure what to say except that this is obviously an indescribable loss for her family and friends.
It’s also a huge loss for the book blogging community. I found and connected with most of the bloggers I read now through Weekly Geeks and the other book blogging community activities Dewey organized. For that I owe her a huge debt of thanks and I’m deeply saddened to hear about what’s happened. I don’t know what else to say, it’s just really sad.
If you want to contact her family or leave a message for Dewey, you can do so via her comment form.

I just saw it. What a terrible loss for Dewey’s family. I also feel that I got to learn a bunch of new people through Dewey’s wonderful Weekly Geek posts. I also really don’t know what to say. I hope Dewey has found peace.
Louise: When I first started my blog I did a google search of “book blogging communities” and Weekly Geeks was one of the first things that popped up. Without it I wouldn’t have found as many interesting bloggers as quickly as I did. I hope the book blogging community can come together somehow and keep these traditions going.
I’m stunned and saddened by the news. My thoughts and prayers go to her family and friends.
Dewey created such a feeling of family within the book blogging community. She will be greatly missed 🙁
