Welcome to Day 17 of the Blog Advent Tour!
The movie that makes me feel it’s finally the holiday season is White Christmas, starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Cloony, and Vera-Ellen. My mom, sister, and I watch this movie every year (while my dad and brother sit in the background making fun of us). We used to have to wait and see if we could catch it on tv, but a couple years ago we finally broke down and bought it on DVD. It was an excellent investment.
Here is the finale, the entire cast singing “White Christmas.”

Merry Christmas, and enjoy the rest of the Blog Advent Tour! Today you can also visit 3M from 1 More Chapter to see some great old Christmas pictures and Stine from The Washingtonium to talk about Advent Calendars!

I have never seen this movie before! I really should remedy that this year! Thanks so much for joining in the tour! Happy Holidays!
Ah, I love the sisters song. (And having all girls, we sing it a LOT here.) I need to watch this this year. 🙂
I was just listening to this song this morning and thinking I really need to see this movie. I haven’t seen it this year and it is not Christmas until I have seen “White Christmas.” Better then all the rest! Merry Christmas.
I love White Christmas too. That and Holiday Inn are my favorite and best.
I don’t know if I’ve seen this movie or not. I might have to remedy that!
I haven’t seen it either, but you’re making me want to. Merry Christmas, Kim!
I haven’t seen this movie either. I need to check that out. Happy Holidays!
Oh my lord. I love this movie. It is because of this movie that I developed the biggest crush on Bing Crosby when I was 11 years old. I continued to have the crush even after I realized that at that point, Mr. Crosby was not alive anymore…and if he would have been, he would have been 94 years old, and wouldn’t look a thing like he did in the movie. To this day, I consider him a crush. 😉
This movie and It’s a Wonderful Life are my two favorite Christmas movies. I watch them every year, even though I don’t actually celebrate Christmas.
I think I am going to have to challenge myself to watch some of the older Christmas movies this year! By the time we get to Christmas this year I will have seen all of the Santa Clause movies, but maybe I need some classics!
Thanks so much for participating in the tour this year!
I have gotten many ideas for Christmas movies after the days of the Advent Calendar so far 😉 Most of them I haven’t seen or even heard of before, but perhaps I can make it a one movie a day Christmas next year.
Merry Christmas
Louise
Thanks for visiting everyone! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
White Christmas is really one of the best isn’t it?
I am a little late on the Advent Tour, playing catch up.
I loved White Christmas. A few years ago, I saw the musical in my hometown. It wasn’t the same. I was a little disappointed. One scene was plan all tap dancing. Okay, lets move on to the next scene!
Happy holidays!
