Last week, Marg at ReadingAdventures posted a link to The Typealyzer, a system that reads texts online and then uses that to guess the writer’s personality type. Here is my result:
ESFP – The Performers
The entertaining and friendly type. They are especially attuned to pleasure and beauty and like to fill their surroundings with soft fabrics, bright colors and sweet smells. They live in the present moment and don´t like to plan ahead – they are always in risk of exhausting themselves.
The enjoy work that makes them able to help other people in a concrete and visible way. They tend to avoid conflicts and rarely initiate confrontation – qualities that can make it hard for them in management positions.
The last time I took a Myers-Briggs test I was an INFJ, which is almost entirely opposite of this result. But, since this is an assessment made only based on how I write in my blog, it’s more of a personality profile of the persona I’ve adopted as a writer, not the person I think I am when I take other versions of the Myers-Briggs test. The creators mention something similar to this in their About Us page — it’s pretty interesting to read.
What is your Typelyzer result?

I was rated a Performer, too.
That’s pretty cool – I’m a Mechanic. I’ve blogged about this here!
The description I got was exactly how I would love to be – but I’m not even close to being lol 🙂
bermudaonion: Cool!
Joanne: I put my blog in again yesterday and got the Mechanic, so I’m not sure how accurate it is all the time 🙂 I think the Performer is how I’d like to be too, but I’m way too shy.
I was a Mechanic as well!
This is awesome. I’m an INTJ, but my blogs are ESTP (fadetheory.com) and ESFP (littlerinch.com). My husband says this is proof that I have a split personality.
