Over the last week or so I’ve been asking for comments and opinions about a variety of topics and gotten a ton of responses from other bloggers. I love that so much! I figured an update post was in order, in case other people are as negligent about going back to see updated conversations when they leave comments. Here’s where I’m at with some big and small bloggy things:
My 100th Post Celebration and Giveaway: Last Friday I made it to my 100th post and decided to host my first giveaway. It’s going great so far! I’m behind on responding to comments and visiting blogs of new people who have stopped by, but I’m going to get through them soon.
Subtitling Sophisticated Dorkiness: After 11 votes and numerous comments, I decided on the subtitle “A bookworm journalist muses on life and literature” as my blog subtitle. I think that, for the moment anyway, it sums up what this blog is about nicely. I posted the new image last Wednesday night, hooray Photoshop!
NaBloPoMo: Last week I was considering whether to join National Blog Posting Month. After some serious planning, I’m signed up! I think I have enough content to write something substantive every day in November, and we’ll just see about having enough time. Worst case scenario? I don’t win a prize 🙂 You can see my NaBloPoMo page here.
The Unread Books: Everyone loves to recommend books! I’ve decided to keep pressing on with Villette, which I do love, and start in on The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. The rest will be waiting until Christmas break.
This post is part of National Blog Posting Month for the month of November. You can find out more about NaBloPoMo here and view my NaBloPoMo profile page here. Thanks for reading!

I feel like I need to come up with a subtitle, too! I’m doing NaBloPoMo, too!
I’ve been out of the bloggy loop this week for the most part, so I didn’t get to give much feedback, but I love your subtitle! Great choice.
oh yes, I meant to comment on that fact that I noticed your subtitle. I’ve been bloggin all friggin’ day and have posted more posts today than I everever have. I hereby vow to read your post every day since you are committing every day. If I don’t comment, do know that I read it, ok?
I’ll be interested to see what you think of Kavalier and Clay.
bermudaonion: Good luck with NaBloPoMo! I’ve seen a few book bloggers who have joined, so it’ll be fun to support each other.
Andi: Thanks, I like it too!
bkclubcare: I saw your blog posts all day, my goodness! I sometimes have days like that, but I usually just save up the drafts to post on days when I’m running out of ideas. I like having a bank of posts to rely on when my brain isn’t working.
Ben: I have 10 hours riding on a bus this weekend, so if I get all my homework done I’m going to read K&C on the ride. Fingers crossed I can get my work done this week.
I am still thinking about it! I have got enough posts for the first week at least. I think I might just have to bite the bullet and do it!
Marg: If you’re thinking about it, I say sign up and do your best. The worst that happens is you don’t make it 🙂
