Marg over at Reading Adventures tagged me to post six things about myself. I don’t really get tagged for stuff like this very often, so it’s actually kind of exciting.
One: My sister drove all the way to Madison this weekend (from the Twin Cities) so that we could hang out and go see High School Musical 3: Senior Year. We are very excited. This is not at all sophisticated, but entirely dorky.
Two: I love grocery shopping, I think because I like shopping, but without much money groceries are the only thing I can buy without feeling too guilty about it.
Three: I just started watching Friday Night Lights on DVD, and I’m pretty much obsessed with it. I have always had a thing for inspirational sports movies, and this tv show takes the essence of those movies and draws it out into an episode every single week. I was watching the first episode alone in my apartment and I actually started to cheer during the last few seconds of the football game. A-mazing show.
Four: Last night, the professor from undergrad that was my unofficial advisor and mentor sent me an e-mail asking my opinion on a class reading list for her senior sem. Having someone I respect and admire as much has her asking my opinion on this, even though it’s a small thing, made me feel like a million dollars.
Five: I’ve worked part-time at Target since I was 16 years old. I always thought I would be done with it by the time I graduated, but I keep going back to work over breaks because I like getting to keep my 10 percent discount. I also love shopping at Target.
Six: Since July 2007 I have lost 25 pounds, which is most of the weight I gained while I was an undergrad. I’m pretty darn proud of this because in losing the weight I taught myself to be healthier, a trait that is going to stay with me.
After reading Marg’s post, it seems that most people are not as excited to get tagged for stuff as I am right now. So I’m not going to take anyone, although feel free to leave six things about yourself in the comments section, k?

Everyone in my family loves to grocery shop, except for me – I hate it! I missed that gene somehow.
Kathy: My mom hates shopping of all kinds, and my dad is sort of indifferent. I think I’m the only one who loves it. I suppose it helps that I only have to shop for myself.
Ohh yes, that Target discount would be sooo worth staying on part time.
I am not a shopper at all. It is very rare for me to enjoy any type of shopping.
I am pretty sure that I will be getting to see High School Musical: The Senior Year when it comes out here. My son is quite a fan, to the point of having Singstar with the songs from the first two (I think) movies.
Thanks for playing along!
Andi: When I’m not home working I love the discount. Then when I go back and actually work, I start to wonder if it’s worth it or not 🙂
Marg: I loved HSM 3. I hated the second one, so I wasn’t sure if I’d like this one. I did though, it was so fun to watch — much closer to the original than the second one was. Wow… I’m such a nerd right now!
