September has been a banner month for my pages read count, although not so much for my time book blogging and reviewing books not for school. I knew I was reading a lot for school, but I didn’t realize just how much until I added it up. Here’s a nifty bar graph you can look at to see.
As the graph illustrates, I read almost 500 pages more in September than in my all-time high month of July — 2600 pages in September compared to 2137 pages in July. When you take into account that more than 800 of the pages in July were from graphic novels, the amount of reading I did this month seems like an even bigger jump.
As for the number of books I read, I managed to complete and review three personal books, and finish two other books for school. I signed up for one challenge, the Fall Into Reading 2008 Challenge, and joined the Sunday Salon. My total number of blog visits also went up quite a bit, mostly due to Book Blogger Appreciation Week. Some of that traffic has stayed, and my number of visitors each day has been consistently higher since (around 40 unique visitors per day, sometimes closer to 70).
Overall I’d say September was a successful month for me and my books blog.

Impressive page count! I am afraid to see how many pages I’ve read. It’s not very many these days!
Rebecca: Yes, it is a lot of pages. Broken down, it’s about 1750 pages for school and 850 pages for enjoyment — it seems disproportionate!
