Over the last month or so, I’ve been working on a group multimedia story for my intro reporting class. All stories were related to the election; my group focused on chalk messages and their use as a way to express alternative points of view. After a long, long process of writing, rewriting, editing and messing with recalcitrant technology last week, our story was published yesterday!
You can read our story here: Beyond red and blue: Chalking up alternative talk
The story was published as part of the New Voices Project at The Takeaway, a national morning news program. In an e-mail sent to my professor letting her know the story was published, the website editor called our project, “One of New Voices’ most original submissions,” which is awesome.
I promise I won’t link to every single story I ever get published, but since this one was first, and since this one was so much work, you’ll have to indulge me this time 🙂

Congrats! That’s so super exciting. And don’t feel bad for posting about it. I still post about some of my published articles because I’m just so excited to see my name in print! OK, off to read the story now 🙂
bexadler: It’s still really exciting to see it in print, especially with a story that I think turned out so well!
