It feels like forever since I’ve done Weekly Geeks! This weeks Weekly Geek challenge (courtesy of Dewey at The Hidden Side of a Leaf) is to do a book photo tour. This seems particularly appropriate since I just moved to Madison and have been finding all sorts of new and interesting places to read around my apartment and the campus as a whole. Unfortunately, I only thought to take my camera to a couple of places, so I don’t have as many pictures as I wish I had.
(left) These are the two bookshelves in my apartment. I wasn’t able to bring all my books with me, but I got quite a few. I’ve always wanted tall, matching bookshelves, so these always make me happy to look at.
(bottom left) This is the sunset view of Lake Mendota from my reading tree in James Madison Park. I’ve gone to the park and sat at the same tree almost every night since I moved.
(bottom right) This is the Madison Memorial Union Terrace, a popular place for just about everyone on campus to gather, get some drinks, and just hang out enjoying the lake. Sadly, I didn’t take this beautiful picture; it was taken by flickr user sylvar.
Also, here are some other Weekly Geeks posts you can visit: Jackie at Literary Escapism, Molly at Restless Reader, and Rebecca at Just One More Page.

What a beautiful place to read, although with a sunset like that I’d probably not get far in my book 🙂
Joanne: Yes, it is beautiful. I get distracted by the people more often that I do by the view, but the view is certainly worth it too!
